Welcome to the Wright County Area United WayThe Wright County Area United Way proudly supports many non-profit organizations in the Albertville, Buffalo, Monticello, and St. Michael areas. Our support in these communities would not be possible without the incredible financial gifts we receive from individuals, companies and corporations. The impact we make in these communities is directly related to community giving. Allocation requests have climbed from $180,000 in 2008 to nearly $500,000 annually. We were able to provide $281,000 in community benefits in 2011. You can find a list of the local programs that received United Way support on the Your Contributions In Use page of this site. We anticipate that allocation requests will continue to be on the rise. For that reason, we have increased our campaign goal to $200,000 in 2012. The Wright County United Way Board is made up of 10 volunteer members with no paid staff. This is very unusual in most charitable organizations and ensures that 95% of every dollar you donate goes back to the communities we serve. The United Way mission is to: “Improve lives by mobilizing the caring power of communities around the world to advance the common good.” We may be a small community in the grand scheme, but are eager to have an impact on the basic needs in our community — primarily food, shelter, education, and health. Thank you so very much to those who have generously donated in the past and to those who will donate this year so that we may continue to make a difference in Wright County for years to come. |
